Oil pressure sender resistance values
 

Hi guys

Im unable to find the values on my Haynes. I need the values for the 1981 oil pressure sender.

I know there´s a FSM with the values, but I only have the 1979 FSM. The 1985 FSM does not seem to have them.

Can anyone link me to the correct FSM?


steve84GS TII provided these numbers a couple of years ago:

1st mark (0psi) = infinity
2nd mark = 196.7 ohms
3rd mark (60psi) = 141.2 ohms
4th mark= no spec
5th mark (110psi) = 102.6 ohms

I think these values were for a S3 first gen... Im afraid since its a different dash, the sender might be different too.

You'll find those values listed in Chapter 15, "Body Electrical" in the section called "Meters and Sending units". BTW The values in the 85 FSM match the values you posted.
