Oil metering pump vacuum hook up?
 

i want to hook up my omp lines to each side of the intake manafold, rather than through the carb. my problem is i have to drill and tap holes, and i dont want to do that untill i know it is safe to run the omp to a vacuum sorce. in other words will the vacuum suck more oil than normal and flood the engine?

Drill away, it will make no difference in the volume of oil ingested due to the way the MOP meters the oil. Fwiw, many of the after market intakes are set up that way.

Yeah, the created vacuum can't suck more oil than the pump will allow to flow. What intake setup do you have?

well i just have a RB dellorto 48, it does have the RB tapped inlits for the OMP lines, but for some reason no matter how hard i tighten the clamps on those lines oil still leaks all over the carb... so i figure hooking up to the vacuum side of the intake will stop the leaking
