oil leakage under the oil filter unit

Hey guys,
Listen, I've had this oil leak since we went to Vegas. It happened on the road after we hit a fairly good size bump( damn highway dept.) :wallbash: I was wondering how likely would it be that I cracked the rear main seal but it looks like its coming from underneath the oil filter box and maybe what other problems it could be?? Thanks fellas

I have a pretty consistant drip/leak from the oil vent tubing in the rats nest. Thought it was from the honey comb, I even changed the honey comb seals.

So, are you saying that the leak could be the hoses? :Wconfused

Pics/more info would be great.

Thanks

There are a couple of o-rings between the oil pedistal and engine iron. If you have the beehive oil cooler, there are 4 total. If you have the front-mount oil coller then there are two. I'd start there first.

yes sir, I did an over due inspection on my car and I had to replace most of the tubing including the oil vent tubing that ironicly drips down the block right next to the oil hunny comb. So it looks like its coming from the hunny comb, in my case.

BTW i found a butt load of bad tubing and that flying saucer looking thing across from the oil filter in the rats nest had a broken fitting in the bottom.

I love fixing the last guys problems, not that I'm bitter about that. Before I fixed it it dripped down the block around the oil pan to the reactor, smoked like hell when I pushed it

The oil vent tubing runs from the bottom of the fill tube to a "T" in the corner of the rats nest then to that flyin saucer thing. I cant think of the name of the flying saucer thing, beer will do that.

So, just as a suggestion, inspect and replace the tubing as nessasary

85 gsl se,I have a oil leak as well, below the oil filter housing.Right near the sending unit.I think its the sending unit. These fail alot on other cars that i have seen not sure about rotaries.i also plan on changing the two o rings under oil filter housing. There is another sneding unit.next to oil presure sender. So not sure which one is leaking.I will just change both senders & o rings.Should solve my probelm.check to make sure the heater hose that is close to the sender is in good shape as oil destroys rubber.Josh.
