oil injection cut off when engine warms up?

I read or heard some where that the 13B (1st and 2nd GEN) turns off the oil injection until the engine get to operating temperature. Is this true? Is there a way to disconnect this feature so I don't add more torture to my engine then it all ready gets? I hear I can by pass this some how?????? Any one?

I grew up building and racing Chevy big blocks and after buying a 1985 12a for $500 at an auction (in great shape, I might add with 75,000 miles - GSL) I'm hooked!

So I bought a 1984 GSL-SE 13b on Ebay. Interior and body is excellent, motor has 155,000 miles, replaced an injector to get it running and drove it from NC to Los Angeles. I'm thinking of rebuilding but though I would ask the masses.....

What would you do with this car if it were yours?
What can I do to improve performance and handling?

Some things I've read are....

1. The oil injection issue at warm up
2. changing to a 1986-87 air flow sensor will increase horsepower (a bit)
3. add headers
4. cold air induction
5. new or rebuilt injectors
6. street port
7. lightened flywheel

Any thing more, I think would be detrimental to the driveability.

Any thought would be greatly appreciated
