No Brakes

Hi

weekend cruiser / hobby car experienced brake failure.

purchased new master cylinder, S.S. brake lines and bleeder valves.

plan on purchasing Hawk street pads to complete the job. (recommendations?)

anything else i should do parts wise while tackling this job?

any suggestions on bleeder or vacuum type pump to help?

thanks

Get speed bleeders. They make it a one person job. and no need for vacuum pump. They have a one way valve.

If you like dust and noise stay with the hawks. I switched to ceramic pads which seem to work well and have no dust to speak of and no noise. I could not tell the difference on hard mountain drives. On the track a lot, then the hawks may be best.

My Hawks are silent. Dust as per stock. FWIW. ;)
STRONGLY urge you to consider first bench-bleeding the master cyl before install. My experience they have been a major biotch to get air out of them once in the car. This is a pretty common practice, with lots of Google write-ups on How-2. Speedbleeders are fab.
