Nifty !!!

1973 XP-897 GT/2-Rotor: This lithe concept mounted a 180-horse Wankel transversely, driving a new automatic transaxle being developed for the forthcoming X-body Citation. Designed by GM's Experimental Studio and built on a modified Porsche 914 chassis by Pininfarina, the 2-Rotor made its debut at the 1973 Frankfurt show.

Its windshield was creased by hanging it from a superheated wire. Built in-house within three months of its show debut, this "Paris Corvette" remains a favorite of GM's current design staff.

found this whilst reserching a 1963 corvette gsII

ya, i think chevrolet still owns the rights to make a rotary engine today but i doubt you'll ever see one, they never created that one because of emissions and gas prices. i have a book explaining all of that... somewhere...

gm fucked up they could have had the rotary engine in the market first and couldn't deliver instead they made another corvette!!

Recently an article surfaced about the rotary vette show car that was saved over in England IIRC. The GM rotary was long gone but its now powered by a 13B. Steel body by pinninfarina<sp>.
