New trans and motor mounts

Replaced both this weekend since I had my oil pan off. Engine and trans feel much firmer and it was not too bad a job. I was surprised how squashed trans mount was. Went with OEM mounts that came from PO. I raised the engine slightly and unbolted the pitman arm which gave me plenty of room to work for those thinking about removing oil pan.

Also a plug for Evaporate-Rust. This stuff works great. A little slow, but completely removed all the rust on all the nuts and bolts. Highly recommended.

Good to know. I'm planning on replacing my mounts and oil pan gasket this fall. Did you use a floor jack under the bellhousing or did you use an engine hoist to do the motor mounts?

I used the floor jack and worked great.
