finally got my wideband today, now its time to start playing w/ my jets and actually tune my carb effectively. i should hopefully have it installed before the weekend is over. as soon as i get my A/F's and fuel curve somewhat dialed in im gonna take her to the dyno and get some power numbers for a purely bolt on stock port 12a. also that way i can have a before and after comparison for when the turbo goes on. good times :bigthumb:

nice. i just wished these things weren't so damned expensive.

$250 shipped from ebay, dont know if thats too pricey for you but its a good deal compared to what most tuner shops want for'em

Nice, does it do any data logging? Or is it a direct reading only gauge?

Sgt.Stinkfist 08-31-07 10:18 PM

as is its a read only guage...but it has 2 extra wires on a plug in the back. one for datalogging and the other is a 0-5v reference O2 input for a standalone EMS.

Nice score man! I thought you would have gone with the lighted one only, not the full out spec. Where in the exhaust do you plan on installing it?

Sgt.Stinkfist 08-31-07 11:00 PM

thx, im trying not to go cheap on my engine monitoring equipment because when i go turbo i really dont feel like blowin her up, atleast not untill i build another motor for a spare. plus i want to leave myself open for options in case i ever go injected.

AEM says to intall the sensor a minimum of 18" away from the exhaust ports. i havent had a chance to dig around and look at my exhaust yet, but im planning on installing it in the middle of the collector on my RB header. that way it wont restrict the exhaust flow near as much as if it were in the single outlet futher down at the end.

If i were you I would of saved another 100 and bought the LM1 for the data logging capability
