New Engine!

Good day!

a While ago a fridn asked if i would build him a performance engine, for show purposes.I had a look at the 12A in his VW bug,and after hearing it,i decided that i had to have it!
It was recently rebuilt by the Terrible Twins, and sounds as sweet as sugar!

On Sat,i replaced my 12A BP motor.
It was quite the job to do,as i did it myself.
Started the morning, removed the BP,and then round abuot lunch time,i started fitting the 100% stock one.

My thoughts?Well, its interesting how subtle and smooth a stock port engine is!

(This is the first time i have had a stock 12A)

I miss the BRAP-BRAP-BRAP idle, and the way it use to come alive at 6000 rpm.
What does it have?
Completely stock 12A,without any emissions gear
Oil pressure mods(for longer life)
With my Dellorto side draught, and custom header with exhaust

For the first time,i can drive 40mph in 4th :-o.Another crazy thing :It`s quiet as hell!I have to glance at the tacho every now and then when sitting a intersection

I just thought i would share

You can believe me that i`am missing them dearly! Its the same here actually, but it`s amazing how nice my 7 is to drive when it`s a bit more subtle! The fuel consumption change is allso more

I forgot to say:I traded the stock engine, and some money for my BP.It was only motors,no accesories or anything ellse
