New additions to the 7!!!!!!!

I picked up some new AutoMeter gauges, Air/Fuel, Water Temp and Oil Pressure.
It took some time to firgue out how to put the senders in. Here was my conclusion, Found an adaptor kit at Autozone for the Oilpressure. It converts 1/8" to metric and goes right back in place. After much debate about tapping the engine block or using the water return hose with an adaptor I'm having a machine shop make me an adaptor from the factory size to 1/8".

Oh, man... you better replace that heater return hose pretty soon!

It's clearly had a lot of oil soaked into it from your O-rings on the filter tower and based on it's bulging and the clamp force applied, it could go at any minute. A cheap fix for this is to find two 90 degree bend heater hose tubing sections of the correct diameter, plus a 'radiator emergency kit' which contains several plastic sections of 'splice' tubing and some extra hose clamps. Cut the 90 degree bend from your heater hose presently, and splice in your new 90 degree bend. Throw the extra 90 degree heater hose tubing in your storage bin for a rainy day.

If that heater hose feed blows you'll lose most of your coolant in a very short period of time, quickly leading to a potentially bad overheating situation depending on how often you check your gauges when you drive. HTH,

Thanks Longduck. The hose is on order, I should get it by Wednesday. I just went and bought the O rings and replaced them. Used a little gasket maker around the egdes just to make sure. I also cleaned up all the crap around it too.
