Need wiring diagram for 13B computer

I just stuffed a 13B into my '81 Rx7 and I need to hook the power supply up to the computer. I can get the engine to crank but ofcoarse there isn't any fuel or engine management cause the computer isn't hooked. Please help me out, I'd really apreciate it.

Thanks alot guys,
Jesse

That's for the GSL-SE engine, and not the 2nd-gen engine, right?

correct :)

I am curious, why would you put a stock SE engine into an 81 with the injectors and ECU?

Seems like an INCREDIBLY LOT OF WORK for some marginal performance gains.(135 HP)

If you just port your 12A engine, or do some other mods, you might be quite happy (140-150hp). If you want power, that engine works GREAT with a Dell'orto carb and headers and won't give you any electronics headaches to go with it.(185 HP)

If you're still going to do the swap, take a look at
Paul's Fuel Injected 13B, he did a REAL Nice Job using a Second Gen motor, and ECU (I believe) which generates more power than the First Gen FI system.

ALSO, remember that you will need to change the fuel pump over from an SE as well to get enough pressure to drive those injectors, as well as replace the varicose fuel lines of the 81' with the SE ones.

Good luck.

Ok, thats not fair comparing a stock SE to a ported and modded 12A :)
The GSL-SE Swap would be quite a bit easier than the 2nd Gen one, since you won't need the Ignition wiring.
just use the distributor :)
since getting the donor wiring from the cars is the hard part, to pull it from a GSL-SE is a breeze, compared to a 2nd gen.
I'd say Pauls power is very close to mine, we are still working on his, but I can pull away, and I still have a few more mods to go :) and so does he, does it ever end?
but a vast improvment from the stock 12A :)

I should've mentioned that I already did the swap. The engine is from an '84 SE and the previous engine was worthless. At the time I began the transplant, I had no working car at all so I was willing to do any amount of work to have a car, especially an rx7. Right now the engine turns over, but because there's no power to the computer, there can't be any fuel being fed to the engine. For those of you who wonder why I would go through the work...I simply love working on cars and the SE engine was the only thing available to me at the time.

Thanks again,
Jesse

According to that diagram, I'll just hook up terminal A to the positive terminal on the battery, fortunately I saved the fusible link. I'll have to get a multimeter from school tomorrow. Thanks alot guys.

A Stock 6-Port SE with other mods should outrun a street port 12A with mods, and yes, definately walk over a stock port 12A.

Back in the day, I put an 85SE engine in my '81, except I did go the Dell'orto route with headers. I was VERY pleased and pulled on just about everything out there. It would even beat the early TII's (until about 85mph, or so). On Stoplight races, that thing was an screamin animal.

I didn't know you an Paul raced each other. With the same mods done, he should have a small HP advantage on you with that 2nd gen throttlebody and AFM.
Although your 4.11 rear end DOES help in pulling him.

That's a race I would love to SE-e.

It all depends on what mods are done... :) The only place the 12A sucks is trying to launch it, because there's just not as much torque. Look at Max7's previous best and my previous best - his 13B gained .2 on me in the first 330', after that though, the gap did not increase. (My 12A was also in a much lighter car, but that's just assumed :) ) Of course, 2 tenths is 2 tenths and the start of the race is the most important part...

The only reason the -SE has 4.11 gears, is to offset the taller tires. The driveshaft turns per mile are almost identical to that of the 3.91/smaller tire of the 12A cars. One of the things I wanted to try this year with my old car was deeper gears, so i could get off the line easier.
