Need Quick Answer:

Okay...This question may have already been asked before, so bear with me for not using the search engine...

I'm going to go to the auto parts store in a few hours, and I'm thinking I'm going to put ATF in my spark plug holes and let it sit awhile...

SO: Is there any specific formula I should use?
It's a 12A...

AND: To clean it out, do I just use something like
BrakeKleen?

Thank you for your help!

Sorry if I sound like an @$$hole, but the repetitive questions get old - Fast.

jeremy 04-05-02 05:10 PM

its right down the list man

Dusukun 04-05-02 05:13 PM

SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!, jackass!

Geez. I just figured since it's not a question that requires multiple posts and isn't a difficult question that MAYBE someone (just ONE person is all I needed) could answer my question! I didn't ask HOW or WHY...just a simple two word answer could have helped. I have tried the search engine before on something else, and I don't know if I did it right or not, but it didn't work. I just thought this might be faster.

In the time it took for you to bitch at me, you could have simply answered my question and my thread would be closed.

SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand but dont we wanna help people that are learning about this car we all LOVE?.

Dusukun 04-05-02 05:56 PM

Alright!

Once again, I apologize to you all! (This time sincerely and not sarcastically.)

I guess I just didn't expect to get my head bit off by what is normally a really nice, helpful group of people.

Next time I'll just figure it out myself.

Ever heard the saying: "If you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all"?

You might want to look into it.:)

And flaming ever did? Sorry the vast majority of us have a life, we only read whats important to us on any given day and we don't spend the wee hours of the night wacking our puds and searching all the old topics in the archives.

I don't think it's rude to ask a question you might have no matter what it is or how recently the same topic has already been covered. BFD. There are a ton of things on this and other forums that have already been asked before, same thing with the emailing lists.

Rather than be rude, or indeed be a jackass about it, like what was previous pointed out, why not be helpful and provide links> Now, there's an idea

UH Why quote me? I think I posted a link to it :) ?

hanman 04-05-02 07:25 PM

The reason directfreak reacted the way he did is because there are at least three threads running on this issue currently.
The best advice is to go to mazspeed.com and look under the facts section for ATF. Everything you need is there.

Alright there dawg - so you think we should spend all of our time typing out the same answers over and over again because you can't take 2 seconds to click the search button?? You think your time is worth more than ours? Are we your personal mechanic service?

The fact of the matter is, the same questions get asked every 2 days. Between this forum and www.mazspeed.com, all the answers to these basic questions are all there already. Why should a few people have to type this stuff out everyday because others are too lazy to look around a little? This isn't a paid service, the people here aren't mechanics who make money giving advice. Have some respect!!!

I'm don't know half as much as a lot of these guys, and I have lots of questions about stuff, but when I need to know something I damn well research it for a few minutes before I pop out and ask questions!

piston pounder 04-05-02 07:48 PM

Yes I agree that the same stuff gets posted over and over but nobody said you had to give your opinon more than once!. Just skip over it !

SilverRocket 04-05-02 07:56 PM

That's true, but doesn't it clutter up the forum a little? If people searched, we could keep more interesting topics on the top and could theoretically spend more time discussing other stuff... I don't know. I guess I was just taken aback by what some people said there and wanted to respond

Dusukun 04-05-02 10:25 PM

Alright, dudes.
Here's the deal:
I apologize for firing you all up. Truly.
I really didn't think it was that big of a deal, and I honestly scrolled down, but missed the current thread.

No problem.
My mistake.
I appreciate any help you all give, and even appreciate responses like, "hey man, it's on this page."

I just didn't really have time to go searching around.
Next time, I will make sure to plan ahead.
OK?

We cool or what?

jeremy 04-05-02 11:01 PM

everyone's a bastard. you're all going to hell. hahahahahahahahahahahehehehehahahaha. :D

oops, we're declaring peace already?

you're cool dusukun, just take shit with a grain of salt here.

anyway.......back to friends.......

i think people jumped you because it was asked about 10 times in the last week,

i even posted a huge thread on it which mike linked,

i even described specifically what i did on my 12a,

the next thing to do is NOT to as about Direct fire for about a week or so,
thats another one that i have seen about 10 times.

MIKE-P-28 04-05-02 11:38 PM

ok to do direct fire you will need,

a new set of wires,
a mop & broom
some 36 gauge wire
6 ignition coils
four ignitors
one headlight
duct tape

ok now take the 2 extra ignitors and piggyback them off your primary 2 on the dizzy

then take the four coils and run 1 sparkplug wire to each spark plug,

run each ignitor to each coil

run all wires with 36 gauge wire

tape everything up with duct tape,

tape the 2 new ignitor to the old ones with duct tape

duct tape the head light to the cowl facing directly at the driver seat

run one wire from your positive battery post to the positive terminal on the headlight with your 36 gauge wire and duct tape it

now one from the negative terminal on the headlight to the negative terminal on the leading coil "any one your choice"

now clean up the mess with the mop and broom,

ok go for a spin

here are some key benifits to look for

a flashing blinding light that seems to increase with rpm

an engine that will barly start

when it does start it will barly stay running and backfire like crazy "dont worry backfire is cool here"

and to top it off a couple small forest fires under your hood will help to catch the attention of any crowd on any strip.
yo
