All headers make the exhaust louder, it's what you put behind them that affects the sound level and power gains.

go with an RB setup if you got the money. You can also do an RB header, small round magnaflow as a resonator, high flow cat for extra silence (and if emissions needed), then get a stock dimension magnaflow for the muffler. sound should be real nice.

Please do a search with the terms RB header, or Exhaust systems. This topic is getting beat to death on a regular basis. :-)

While the Magnaflows are frequently recommended, I have done so myself, I'm beginning to turn away from them in favor of the Borlas. Reason being, the Borlas do a much better job of reducing noise and last longer. I have a Magnaflow here in the shop that came off of kgray's SA, he installed 2 of them. The rear one is toast. It burnt up internally and when shaken, I can hear the melted bits of packing rattle inside the casing.

This came as a total surprise to me as I never thought they would give out in such a manner, especially when used as the rear muffler. While the Borlas are a bit more expensive, in the long run they will pay off with the noise reduction and longevity. It's the preferred pre-silencer for the TII and 3rd gen members.

You can buy the full RB system and drop 7-900 bucks, or pick up the RB header and fab up the rest for less money if you can do your own work of have a reasonably priced muffler shop you can deal with.

If I were you, I would get a used Racing Beat header and presilencer and have a borla at the end with all new 2.5" thick wall mandrel bent tubing. This can save you money, have good performance, and also a great sound.

Thanks Again guys! That sounds like a awesome plan. Im already talking to somebody that has a used header.
Now I just need a silencer and the borla.
Thanks
