kinda neat imo, plus i just got a nice set of borbet racing rims and they are 4x100 and i was gonna pay 50 bucks a rim to get em drilled to 4x114.3 but heres a better solution and you cna now use most any honda rim

How you have to make any adjustments for offset when you use spacers?

you might not need any adjustments for offset because most hondas have a very low offset compared to RWD cars with a higher offset (or is it the other way around)? either way, the spacer should actually HELP offset issues.

umm dont look safe IMO...

SE use pretty much the offset as hondas, so the spacers would throw the rims way out. I have those exact spacers on my toyota starlet.

The sapcers do work nicely on non SE rx7 though. I have a set of 1.5" thick 4*110 to 4*100 spacers on my 84 GSL and honda wheels fit perfect on it.

btw.. i forgot to add; 92-96 prelude and old style 4 lug accord were in the 114.3x4 bolt pattern and almost if not same offset as the SE's are.

Would these spacers allow for some of the newer Miata 15 or 16" wheels to fit nicely on the GSL-SE? I think they look hot and i like the idea of staying with the mazda stock stuff. Any opinions?

Those spacers will do nothing for owners of SE cars.

You can get spacers for the non-se cars and use miata rims.

Do a seach in this forum and you will find more than enough information.

I was under the impression that we were talking about spacers that converted the 4x114.3 pattern to the more common 4x100. Also during my recent searches and mass amounts of time spent studying this forum, i deduced that the Miata wheels are the 4x100 pattern. So i posted this reply in what i thought would be the most relevant thread. Am I missing something here?

It's the non-SE 1st gens with the 4 X 110mm bolt pattern that are hardest to find aftermarket rims for. Too bad, because they also have the ugliest stock rims, 2nd gen phone dial rims notwithstanding.

These spacers would therefore be more useful to 12A 1st gen owners as long as offset isn't unduly affected. It looks like the spacers could be made on a $1000 combination lathe/milling machine that fits into the corner of a single car garage if anyone is interested in growing their own on the cheap. But I'd make mine out of 4130 or 4140 tool steel rather than aluminum.

Anyone have a list of cars that match up the SE pattern/offset?

Apparently Tire Rack doesn't think that GSL-SE's have a different pattern than the nonSE cars... I'd like to know what to search for on Tire Rack so I can look at wheels that'll fit my -SE

If you used those spacers on a SE car, even if you used fornt drive offset rim or miata rims...the rim would be sticking out of the fender about 1.5"
The non-se car use standard rear drive offset rims, but have the stupid 4*110 lug pattern. When using these spacers on a car with rear drive offset the thickness of the spacers allows the use of front drive offset rims.
Here is a picture of my GSL using thos spacers 1.5" thick 4*110 to 4*100 spacers using a set of 15*6.5 Rota rims for a front drive honda.

If it was an SE car and the adapter where used it would look the same but the rims would be about 1" further out.
