gsl-se oil metering lines
i'm leaking oil from the oil metering lines and the mechanic that's going to change them for me says he has to take out the fuel injection unit to get to them. and is charging me $100 for the job. is this true and worth it?

i dont think its worth it, dosnt sound right... i was thinking about changing mine, its an easy fix from what i can tell. if you order the oil lines from mazda they are expensive, something like $60 to $80 is what i heard. if they need to be replaced go out and buy the tubing and do it yourself

$100 sounds cheap to me. If it were me, I would do it myself. But, if I had to pay someone, $100 sounds like a deal. He will have to pull the upper end loose to get to the injectors and the lines. It will need a new manifold gasket, plus the new oil lines. That's quite a bit of work. Not hard, but tedious. For $50 more, I would have the injectors rebuilt by RC Engineering while I was in there. And if it were me, I would replace all of the old vacuum lines with silicone.
