My TII swap (aka Turbo I) some pics

Got my car finished up today..It is coming along nicely except for one issue,SMOKE! The car starts right up and idles great,I can't tune it yet because I need exhaust first..Right now it is open DP..But the thing is when I started it today,it started up and ran for about 1 minute before it started smoking pretty good..It wasnt really really think but it was making a nice cloud..This has not been the first time I started the car since the swap..I let it idle for a total of about 2 hours of so the other day..The motor I installed is a JDM 13bt 1988 and it has been sitting for about 2 1/2 years since I've had it..I'm thinking the seald in the turbo are gone and it's not the motor, actually, thats the scenario I am HOPING for:) The turbo seals can dry out over time correct??IT didnt seem so smoke so bad when I was on the gas putting around but when I was coasting it seemed like a cloud wanted to follow me,so it smokes more while not giving it gas..Anyone know an easy way to tell where the oil is getting past??
Anyway heres some pics I took today, keep in mind the car has 2 years of dust,it's actually pretty clean once you wash it and it has 106k with very little body corrosion underneath, so its a pretty clean car..Next is the exhaust, fix the smoking issue, install intercooler, then on to the dyno for tuning WOO HOO!!

What kind of oil lines are you running to and from the turbo?

If you've got too much oil volume going into the turbo, or its not draining fast enough, the oil will find its way out the rear oil seal, causing smoke. Check to make sure that your oil drain's lowest point is at the front cover. Then make sure you have the evaporative system hooked up properly (this will induce a vacuum in the crankcase), and that the purge valve works. Otherwise the lack of vacuum, or when on boost, the crank case may be under pressure making the oil drain back up.

If you haven't done anything to the oil system (no increase in oil pressure, and everything I mentioned above is in order, you've got a bad oil seal somewhere in the turbo or engine.

Thanks for the pointers, all of the oil lines are stock but I did not do all of the work myself either so I need to go take a long look at it..I have not had much time to work on it lately but now its 95% done it makes we want to finish it up so I can start driving it..The bad part is that the car is not at my house,it's about50 or 60 miles away since I dont have a garage so that tends to complicate things a bit..Truthfully I am hoping it is just anything but engine oil seals right now..

I will also try to get better pics up soon

Looks nice!

Yea some better pics would be great. I'm real close to the swap too.

Curious what you did in the following areas:

1) ECU + wiring

2) ignition coils

3) fuel pump

4) vacuum line for brake master

5) radiator hose

6) tranny

Maybe you have a link where you posted this? Anyway, your help is appreciated.

I've had the same problem with smoke, it turned out the guy that put the turbo together did a shitty job at the return line for the turbo so basically all the oil that was going into the turbo wasn't going out. I've had cloudes of smoke at stop lights but onese driving it was fine, except in-between shifts.
