My New Wankel!

Just purchased my first rx-7 a few days ago. I bought an 85 GSL-SE with 200k but only 35k on new motor. Excellent exterior and interior. Very little to do to bring it back to perfection. It's complelety stock! Even has the original stereo. That gorgeous light blue paint and gray interior.

Decent tires, firm brakes without shutter or pull, new tranny and clutch, engine pulls smooth and stong all the way to redline without any 3000rpm stumble. Does need the a/c recharged.

Okay, Okay I'm juiced! Only problem is I'm in CA and I'm titling it in TN and waiting on my plate!

Just thought I'd share!

Congrats! My SE is my daily driver and there's nothing better than taking it out on a twisty road and smiling all the way.

As you're in Cali I recommend the PCH. If you're in the Orange County/LA area take a nice long spin up to Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo and you'll never want to part with that SE.

Ok guys, I'm in So Cal where are all the good drives?

Even in L.A. there are some neat canyon drives - a little patch of wilderness hidden in the urban jungle.

Also, if you scoot out to Simi Valley there's a great narrow twisty leading up towards the Manson Family ranch. The road ends in a 180 degree hairpin just over the hill from that spooky location, but you notice pretty much every house on that street has a tiny English sports car or Vespa scooter - no Caddy or SUV could navigate such a road.
