My brain did a memory dump today

Today I decided to knock out the little bit of rust behind my bins and at the same time ditch the bins alltogether(wow I can recline my seats now). Anyhoo, I saw some wires going out the floor through a grommet and decided to unclip(I figured it was for an exhaust temp sensor or something) it so I can tuck all the wires away for a nice clean look. Few hours of cleaning and rust converting goes by and its time to go park the car. I jump in start the car up and I get it to where I usually park and my car starts to sputter and dies. I try to start it and it starts for a second and dies again. I knew that it wasn't my filter because it's been only six months since I've changed it and I've been good about keeping the tank from getting below half full. This is where my cussing rampage starts, and it doesn't help that I'm tired and its hot as hell outside. I start checking my fusible links and stuff because I thought I heard that one of them was for the fuel pump. I decided that I'm gonna have to get a new pump and I started searching online then BAM!!! it hits me. This voice in my head says, "HEY DUMBASS!! YOU UNCLIPPED THE DAMN FUEL PUMP LINE!!" I go back outside plug the line back in, car starts right back up and as MC Hammer would say it, "Its all good."

I knew where this was going as soon as I read grommet and wires thru the floor. At least you figured it out quickly. Hey, we all have brain farts from time to time. ;)

Did the same thing with my cruise control box in the storage bins. Thought it was part of the stock stereo system when i was putting in my new deck, pulled out the factory amps, guess not. It wasn't until a week later that i noticed it wasn't working and i just HAPPENED to run across a post on the forum about that box. Plugged her back in and cruise control was back in action, all thanks to this forum.

You guys should've heard me. If someone walking by and heard they way I was cussing up a storm, they would've thought I was chanting some spell to open up the gates of hell or something.

Back at christmas a friend and I were swapping a new clutch into his seven. When we put it all back together it wouldn't start, like that batt. was dead. Put the charger on it switched the thing to "start" still nothing. Come to find out we didn't replace the main ground. Started right up after that. Boy did we feel stupid.
