my 7 is dying
 

...and no one cares except me.

Here is the deal: I wake up this morning and find my 7 spilling it's coolant guts all over the driveway. That is fine, I was planning on an engine rebuild anyway. What is not fine is that my Rack & Pinion kit (which I ordered from CP Racing) has yet to get here, even after just over three months time. They say they are "moving". But that shouldn't stop them from sending me my R&P that I have already paid for. I've considered myself ripped off and that is over and done with.
My family doesn't support my desire to get my car running the way it truly should-but that is fine. My friends say I am wasting my money that I will never get back because "no one would ever buy that hunk of junk"--that is fine as well. HOWEVER, being ripped off is not fine, it will never be fine. Yet I just cannot bring myself to be pissed of at CP Racing. Some people are good at ripping people off. Perhaps they actually will ship my parts, maybe, just maybe.

And maybe, just maybe, my 7 will finally run like it was supposed to--great.
Hope is a good thing...right?

With patience, most members have gotten thier parts or a refund. I have done business with them, got my parts eventually, but I will not be back for anymore.

Patience is something that I have an abundance of; hence the reason for choosing a car with an "unconventional" powerplant. All I can say is: I will learn.

We all are still learning, it never stops. In some aspects, these unconvetional powerplats are unconventualy simple, but still a pita some days.

Pretty scary how many CP racing horror stories there are.... Why don't they just change the way they do their business and make everyone happy? Such a shame one of the only companies thats making some cool aftermarket parts for our cars, and they appear not to care at all about customer service...

CPRacing, Demonspeed, they're all the same.

Just go to a junkyard and find your parts.

I've already started to go along with others' opinions about CP Racing. I was wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt but when they never returned two of my e-mails, I figured I'd just be wasting my time, and even my money if I decided to buy something from them.

And, bah, you can get new friends who would understand how you feel about your Rex. Hell, I bet for enough money you could get new parents that'd understand, too. ;) *L* I hear the Russian Black Market offers some good deals here and there. But seriously now, the patience will pay off once you get that thing running in pristine shape. Which'll make you enjoy driving it even more. Plus, I wouldn't care what people thought with how much money I've stuck into my car. My car, my money, dammit. Worth every single cent so far.

CP Racing just emailed me back telling me that they are at the D1 Gran Prix in California at the moment, and they'll ship it when they get back. I hope...

I doubt they'll ship it when they get back. But I guess there's always hope.

But of course, you can hope in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first.

Give CP another month or 2 and you'll have your stuff. They are incredibly unreliable when it comes to shipping paid for stuff.

Where is the coolant coming from in your car?

It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks about what you drive. I catch hell from all my friends, who all drive V8 cars with 400+ HP. I didn't buy it or build it to be like everyone else. I have my car because I'm not gonna be the norm. I want to be different and I want to drive a nice car that is different. Ignore the snide comments. You know that you love your car, that's all that matters.

The coolant is coming from the rear of the engine, next to the bellhousing.

Sounds like you could have lost the heater hose. Is it an SE? If not, is your beehive leaky? If so...you probably lost a heater hose from hot oil saturating old rubber. If it seems like this, I have some more pics up on my site showing where it is.
