You should get the idea of decent milage out of your head before even thinking about building a quick NA rotary.
Tuned well you MIGHT pull low teens on the highway. My street port (very poorly tuned and driven hard) get almost unbelivably bad milage. |
Round town you will get 8-10mpg if you drive conservatively.
On the highway its really ecomomic, around 12mpg is typical. As for on the track, why worry if you get 4-5mpg while having fun. |
Really? I used to get 12-14mpg normal driving for a full bridge(but not cut into water jacket). And for a long drive(as annoying as that was to drivewith the uneven engine running at part throttle) I got as high as 19mpg. 50dco weber-long tube header and medium flow muffler. Bridgeports should only be used for track use and weekend warrior driving because of the noise IMO

I get anywhere from 9 around town in cold weather to 22 on the interstate at the speed limit, steady cruising. 1/2 bp-1/2sp, with a Mikuni. The highway mileage was driving from fill station to fill station, no stops in between, so that's probably the best it's gonna get.

Whatever. I don't mind the noise at all, but the neighborhood I live in now, it would be too cop magnetic. I went to a steetport blowthrough turbo and now I have more power and less noise- win win! |
