mint condition rx7

ok from my post befor i said it was a 85 GLSE mint. no rust ne where, orignal paint. no dings or marks. everything works GREAT. it has 90k original miles and has been drivin by only 2 people. a old lady and her older daughter.. if the car is in such great shape.. what are the odds im going to have to rebuild it soon? car looks like it came off the show room floor. $2500 is what im paying.

twigg 01-22-03 03:18 PM

also i forgot to ad it hasnt had a rebuild. Sounds and drives great. starts cold with the choke easily.

twigg 01-22-03 03:23 PM

woops :) one more thing. it has EVERYTHING stock. no mods no nothing. just grandma and daughter driving it to work and store :) ... IM HOPING to hear i got a good 30,000 miles befor rebuild if i treat it with care :)

bubba211 01-22-03 04:03 PM

you'll get more then 30,000 miles before a rebuild if your car goes like mine.. 170,000 and still counting.. (knock on wood, hard)

Sounds like a good one. Should get 100k before it needs anything. I don't know what to think of car prices these days. Everybody in my neighborhood in Silicon Valley is dumping cars cheap. I thought I made a killer deal in august, getting an 85GSL with 49k for $1700, but now, even withh the fixes I've put in I wonder if I could get my money back. This weekend I'm looking at an 85GSL-SE for $1200, which I would have snapped up for twice that a year ago. Weird. But prices can't stay down forever, so maybe Scuderia Bliffle will payoff soon.

My car has 150k miles on it and still runs and starts smooth. No problems at all.

I say you have plenty of miles before a rebuild.

GSL-SE's have a fuel injected motor, so the function of the choke in controlled by an electronic brain...if this car had a choke it's either an SE with a 12a (engine swapped, unlikely by your description of the owners) or not an SE.

Right on.

Rotary engines last the longest if you rev the piss outa them from time to time. Believe me it true! Carbon buildup kiils rotaries and reving it up blows it all out. If grandma drove it...... I wonder if she rev'd the piss out of it the way you're supposed too. :)

sweet!! im so excited to get a first gen.. id HAD a 91 turbo II that ran 12.5 stock with just 13lbs boost.

twigg 01-22-03 07:04 PM
