Metering lines... idea?

Would it be possible, probable, or just downright stupid to hook the oil metering lines to the intake's brake booster tube right before the intake with a couple of T connectors on an aftermarket carb? i could be crazy.

What did Sterling say recently? Something about you do not want oil getting into the brake booster.

I would just pre-mix, but you'd be better off choosing a different vacuum line to T into. You don't want your brake booster failing from oil contamination. I don't even know if it's good to be putting much vacuum on the metering supply though.

Yeah, i thought about it. pcv valves may work? the only reason im even thinking about this is because i dont want to take the damn thing off and cover it, because im cheap and lazy. it just leaks all over the place.

Not to mention just how stupid you'd feel when you seized your front rotor. Brake vacuum would deliver oil only to the rear.

Alright so... how do i get rid of these silly things and just premix without it leaking all over the place?

Get an OMP block off plate, gasket and gasket sealant. Mazdatrix, RB probably atkins as well have them.

Somewhere had a tutorial but its simple. Measure peice of 1/8 aluminum, cut it to the right size (roughly 1.5x3"). Gasket with some sealant and bolt it back on.

It is a good design if its working, and they dont fail too often.

Why wouldnt you just buy new lines? You can get them for like 10 bucks each plus shipping (if you know the right folk)

Premixing is tedious and gets expensive. That being said, i did it and will continue after the 7 is back up and running

Dell'Orto Carb. no where to put the stupid things.

Also checked the brake booster tube right out of the booster and it has a one way plastic insert in it already. At least, I think thats what it is...?
