Whoa! Wonder how they built the e-shaft?

Mazda tested it over 20 years ago in their R16.
its been done since in New Zealand and theUK. Even tried 6 rotor!

Why reinvent it all over again.

Now if you tried an 8 rotor that would be impressive.

Forgive me, please, but what does the "E" in e-shaft mean, Engine?

PaulFitzwarryne 03-21-03 03:19 PM

eccentric, the rotary equivalent of a crankshaft

abeomid 03-21-03 03:21 PM

Eccentric Shaft

It's the main shaft for the engine.

Now that that's settled, what does the "O" in O-ring mean? :p:

PaulFitzwarryne 03-22-03 03:59 AM

'O' shape

abeomid 03-22-03 10:29 AM

It can be O shaped and some people say it means oil.

If you wanna know how rotary engines work, check out http://travel.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine.htm . It tells about the e-shaft and everything.
