mazda oil filter question
i just got one today and man it looks smaller that the fram sure gard. i dont know of i got the right one or what the part No is B6Y1 14 302 9A but that what mazda had of part No for the turbo II engines. is that the right one? im asking because is cheaper that the tought gard and im kinda worry i got the wrong one. thanks
should be fine. the turbo engine uses the same filter as the non turbo and 12A
yup that's the right one
if you want to use the big one you'll have to use the aftermarket ones like Purolator, Motorcraft, Wix, etc... |
watch though for the ones with the internal valve. it holds oil and releases it when the engine is cranked. helps supply oil to the engine when it is cold to prevent premature wear on cold engines.
And it's that a bad thing???. Sorry I'm a newbie..., Im guessing it's not bad for a piston engine, but it is bad for rotaries??. |
nah im keeping this one, everybody that i know keeps telling me to getone so im using this now. thanks
no prob. just use it. the mazda filters are good quality
Did you know that my 97 Honda Del Sol Uses the same Fram filter as the 12A.
you are kidding?!
Yep, Honda filters will work with rotaries also!
Yes the filters are smaller now.. and work for all Mazda rotaries from 1979 to the present RENESIS
