mallory 4309 fpr?

For those running a 4309 on your boosted set up. I was wondering if you guys noticed fuel pressure drop off once the car is fully warmed up. For example I have mine set at 6psi at idle and once the car is fully warmed up my fuel pressure drops to about 4 1/2psi. I'm just curious if anyone else has and or is experiencing this problem.

Thanks, Ed
Happy boosting!

I see that on my NA set up, but I think it is the gauge that's reading incorrectly, not the fpr changing.

I dont think its gauge coz I can actually feels the difference when the pressure drops on mine. At 6psi my idle is crap but when the pressure drops it actually holds a perfect idle at 1000rpm.

Thanks, Ed

might be underhood heat soaking into the diaphram allowing it o move freely. Haven't noticed it with mine. then again I have a $1 gauge...

Hyper glad to see you back man. Hows your set up running?

Thanks, Ed

Just an update here. Now my fuel pressure reg. set screw has to be turned in till its flush with lock nut in order for me to get my 5psi at idle. It still rises with boost but I dont think its normal. Anythoughts?

Thanks,Ed

I dont believe on 4309 anymore. I had similar experience. Im going to try malpassi as recommended by several turbo VW boys.

Who sells them other tweak it? Also is it safe to say my fpr crapped out?

Thanks, Ed

Lots of places like European Motorworks carry them. If im not mistaken, they have them at Jegs.

Thanks, Ed

Nothing on jegs about the Malpassi fpr but I did find a replacement diaphram for the 4309. Myabe it needs a new one already?

Thanks, Ed
