WA Madra RX-7 GSL-SE, I rebuilt I知 2008 and became my daily driver

Then I 2010 I started having kids and between adulting and what not my poor Car has not been maintained. I知 looking at another rebuild but my question is what in the engine needs to be replaced due to it sitting for so long. The motor has maybe 20 thousand miles on it at most, it is a13b and I have a second motor sitting in my garage should I need parts from it. Everything else on the car I can repair myself I was just hoping a little tlc would be enough to get my girl running again. Because I can no longer afford the 18 grand I put Into her the first time around. Couple of pictures of what we did to her back in 2007. Oh and I hater the big ugly rubber running down each Side so we Eliminated them along with side lites. I also eliminated all of the Mazda insignia痴, shaved the door Hadles and simply tried to make it as Impossible to recognize if you didn稚 know what it was simply by knowing exactly what it was. It was made to be unrecognizable should it get hit for speeding. And prior to kids it was most definitely a cop magnet but it easily blended in. Especially at night when the lights we switched off. Anyways motor rehab before trying to start it. Drained fuel, replaced filter, new plugs, Cables and distributor, ATF in pull holes and I manually turned the rotors 360 degrees with not real issues. Shout I attempt to start it or pull it firsrt and inspect the for issues first. Thanks imadveane.

I would say there's no harm in trying to start it if it was running when put away, and it spins freely. Let us know what you find.

I would remove the leading plugs and put a little Marvel Mystery Oil in each housing. Not a lot, just enough to lubricate the apex seals. I would then rotate the engine over by hand and spread the MMO a little. Then I would definitely check the oil and coolant levels, put gas in the tank and try and start it. There's a high chance it will start.
