Lowering springs

I bought some suspension techniques 1" drop springs off of rx7.com, and when I put them on with my new shocks, they are able to move around a bit when the car is lifted because they're short. Is this okay? Will they set in after a while?

rotary84 03-01-10 11:07 PM

ya they will set in when u drop it, same thing happened when i put my rear rb srpings in. they were loose then when i dropped it, it was fine

thunkrd 03-02-10 02:37 AM

yea they are fine

you solved the riddle yourself by stating "they are able to move around a bit when the car is lifted because they're short"

I know, I just didnt want them to be loose at all or anything, because the shocks are a good bit longer :P

thunkrd 03-02-10 04:22 PM

huh? the shocks compress...

nucul3arTOAST 03-02-10 04:58 PM

yep they are fine

How often does your suspension see full droop when you're driving?

If your answer is anything other than "never" you may want to reconsider your driving style.

who doesnt launch there car off the back of a flat bed to get to the courthouse in time every once in a while lol :)

thunkrd 03-02-10 11:01 PM

haha.. if you did a jump like that i'm sure the car would be toast anyway

Rotary Powah 03-03-10 07:37 AM

as opposed to gone in 60 seconds when he lands that massive jump and just drives off...

thunkrd 03-03-10 12:24 PM

yea, but eleanor is a totally different story

Rotary Powah 03-03-10 07:09 PM

it may have pistons, and it is a mustang, which I usually hate, but it is such an awesome car.
