low oil light and chiming
 

my friend and i just finised installing my new clutch and we were about to take it for a test drive when i noticed that my low oil light was on so i turned the car off and checked the oil and it was good so we figured that it must have come on when i started the car on the ramps so i started the car and it started to chime and the light stayed on we cant figure out what the heck is going on any ideas

and the chiming wont stop it stays on everytime i start the car

You may have knocked off the wire to the low oil sensor. The sensor is on the driver's side of the oil pan. There are 2 sensors, low oil is the front one. If it is the wiring for that sensor, you should see a low oil warning light at the bottom of the cluster and, iirc, it should sound the same screeching buzzer as the low coolant warning sounds off, not a chime.

The low oil/coolant buzzer goes through the oscillator. To test if that's working, draw down the radiator to expose the the low coolant sensor. The low coolant light and buzzer should both come on. If you get the light only, remove and clean the contact on the oscillator.

The chime may indicate another, separate fault, such as an interior light left on.

sounds kinda like the problem im having, the light that comes on when the e-brake is on and the car is running stays on, i dont know what is wrong with it, but then again i havent had the car for more then 3 weeks now so i having realy taken anything apart on it yet.

My oscillator was malfunctioning many moons ago and I just removed it. I always wondered what it would buzz for, since the incessant buzzing of my faulty oscillator didn't sound like the "you left your headlights on" beep, the "you should shift now before you hurt me" buzz or the "you've got the door open" chime...

And now I know. And I'm so glad that I disconnected it because having the low coolant light buzz would be annoying.

Unfortunately, if your wires to your sensor aren't the problem, I don't know what else would be.

Check your brake fluid, you may be slightly low. I had the same problem. Just needed a bit of fluid.
