Loose steering

My steering wheel has some play when I turn it side to side even when the car is parked. I don't know how to remove the steering wheel to see what is wrong, but it looks like there is two pins that help connect the wheel to the steering linkage. It seems that these pins are causing the play.

The steering linkage at the wheels seens tight. It just seems like the steering wheel itself is loose.

Anyone have a similar problem, and how can I fix it?

I have done a search, but nothing I found seems like the problem I am having.

there should be an adjustment screw on the steering box

Are you refering to the 2 white pins at the back side of the steering wheel, that is for cancelling your blinkers.

You have a sloppy steering box.
