Loose shifter fix

I did a search and found only one thread with this problem. The shifter in my running car has no spring tension to bring it back to neutral (5th rev works fine, goes back to neutral). I have the tranny in my parts car which has the same problem. I took the whole shifter out, along with the metal plate on the side of the tranny. I can see the spring is broken on both trannies. Anyone found a way to replace this with the tranny in the car. Even out of the car , how hard is it? Someone on the other thread : https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=loose+shifter
,had pictures but they don't show anymore. Rotormotordriver, did you finally replace that spring?

I dont even have the spring on my modified TII tranny.

wouldnt fit.

but that tranny is shit and ill probably get anouther.

anyways, to properly replace it. I think you have to remove the tranny and pull the rear cover and shifter assembly.

Its not hard at all, just takes a few hours.

Well, guess no one has done this and can post pictures. I'll do it myself and then post pics, so that all of you can see...
