Looking to get some cheap fans.

As the title says, looking to get some cheap electric fans in at least 14" inch, going to buy two if I can find them at the right price.
Thanks in advance,

I was very happy with the Ford Taurus 3.8 fan.

Go to the junkyard and get a Ford Taurus fan from an early nineties Taurus
or sable for a v8 not the v6. Another option is the dual fans from a MK1 MR2.
These fit the 1st gen radiator really well. Thats what I used. I hooked the
fans up to both run on independent cirsuits for redundancy. I don't use a
thermo control to run them but you can easily. I just set it up so they turn off
when I'm in 4th or 5th gear. These were $20 at the JY, the taurus would have
been $10.

I could go for that. But, how in hell did you wire it up to only turn of when in 4th and 5th? That's interesting, I'd leave the fan I have in my car now if I had it wired that way.

MR2 fans work great. I run both together through one adjustable fan controller, which you can get for 20 bucks at Autozone.

A quick search for "MR2 Efans" should bring up several great threads on installation.

You just have to use the tranny harness and take advantage of the 2 switches
on the tranny for being in 4th and 5th gear. They are in series and so if your circuit
goes thru them it will turn off the fans when either one trips. I have a thread some
where about it I think. I'll see if I can find it.
