Locking Cylinders

For reasons that escape me, both door locking cylinders on my FB are shot. Like, they won't turn the lever at all. I don't know if someone unsuccessfully tried to steal the car a while back or what, but I can't lock the doors. Thankfully I keep the car in a locked garage so that's not an issue, but once I get that motor in there I'm going to want to drive this thing quite a bit, and not being able to lock the doors is going to get old in a hurry.

The local Mazda dealership told me the part number for all new cylinders (both doors, ignition, and hatch) plus two new keys is FA-54-09-010-C, but they don't stock it anymore. What other cars have exchangeable locking cylinders? I can't be the only person that's run into this issue.

This is the information that Mazdatrix has.

Thanks for the link, that's exactly what I needed. Unfortunate they're so expensive.

Remove them and take them to a locksmith with the key.

I'm not sure the passenger one's fixable, the exterior casing is all bent up, which is why I think a particularly inept thief tried to steal the car. I'll have to get some pictures to explain what I'm talking about.

Dude, I don't know if you happened to read the thread I started, but one of mine didn't work either. They are servicable. Take them all to a locksmith to see what he can do. It cost me $8.50 to get it fixed with 2 new keys(that I didn't ask for but wth)

I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the tip.

The only problem I have with that is I don't want to have two different keys for the doors and the ignition.
