L28 Motor Swap

Hi! I’m new to this forum, so I may not be doing this right, but I’m looking into a first gen. Now as much as I love rotaries, I’m a broke teenager and I don’t have the money / time to maintain it, and I really like the L28’s and with a bit of work you can get one pretty cheap. I was wondering if anybody has ever done this swap if it even works and how to do it, and what trans / adapters to use. All the help will be greatly appreciated!

Non-Rotary Cars
Any Questions pertaining to non-rotary engine'd First Gens must be directed to the Other Engine Conversions forum located here. If any threads are found in the first gen section that are made for the purpose of discussing piston engines in Rx7s, they will be immediately moved there and you will be sent a warning.

It causes fights, flame wars, and streams of complaints. So don't do it....... :piss:

I don't think you have room under the hood. Maybe if you used two smaller radiators and had the engine siting in the middle of them LOL

Why not just swap in another rotary? cheapest option by far.

I got this from google. You might see how this measure up to the engine bay.

24" tall, 31" long, bottom is 12" wide, intake and accessories make it 21" wide at the most. interesting swap if possible
