Just A thought???
I have a 85 GSl and i was working on a 95' nissan altima(or maxima) and i saw the interior door handles they look exactly the same but im not sure about how they open.... so i was wondering if anyone has changed their door handles to a different type....?(mine are both boke on the inside and the driver side on the outside)

Never seen anything that would fit our cars.

well if i figure it out ill let you guys know, so it will be easier to fix the old broken door handles that happen sometimes...
|
I've yet to see an interior handle break. Which part broke, what parts do you need. I have spares.
|
the actual handle broke on me one day when i opened the door to get out...it still works but you have to pull it really far back to get it to work......wondering if anyone has a driver side exterior door handle (lol its broke too)

Driver's and passenger side interior handles are the same, that's what I've done several times, just swap 'em out. The only difference is the little yellow clip on the passenger side is flipped upside down. When you move it the the driver side you'll notice that it's the same exact part. (Disclaimer: although I have worked on many different first gens, I've only owned the 84-85 models, so if you have a pre-84 car don't flame me if I'm wrong.)

Best bet is to go to a wrecker yard or buy new handles off a good forum member.
|
Yeah, the exterior handles are pretty notoriously fragile. Poor die-cast job.

Unfortunately the FC handles snap easier than the FBs and those have to be painted to match the body color.
