It's alive...alive!

The rotary gods have smiled upon me (Rotaryrocket1, Nismo Convert86, Almost and 'The Other Guy')
My car had died on it’s initial spring run back in March (gradual loss of power right down to zero idle- over a period of about an hour of hiway driving, with flames shooting out the back).
She fired right up today! During a short cruise the carbed 12A (fully stock) revved freely up to 4000RPM then with some hesitation moved up to redline. Before the breakdown it would jump from 4200 to redline with a snap. Perhaps I need a shot of carb cleaner? Any thoughts- what’s best to use etc…?
I'll also try new plugs and fuel filter while I'm at it.
I also need to swap out my waterpump from my parts car- any pitfalls that I should beware of?

:bigthumb: Congrats. Check the secondary throttle shaft for any binding. On the waterpump, just the waterpump? Or the whole housing?

I've got a small river flowing from the bottom of the pump.

Well just the pump is straight forward. If you remove the whole housing just dont lose the shim washers on the 2 right side studs.
