removed my cats and installed a magna flow exhaust. the lines that went from the air pump to the cats are hanging loose. can i cap them ???? I dont really want to remove the air pump or smog items because ill be moving back to cali (SGV) and we all know how hard cali smog is. can i just put a smaller belt to eliminate the smog pump from the crank ????

You don't need to cap the air tube. Just remove the hard line from the rubber portion and leave that portion attached to the manifold. Just remove the air pump belt. As long as you are using a high quality alternator belt there will be no slippage.

My air pump belt snapped in may 2006, drove it til november with no problems. It's all for emissions, so strip the emissions and you wont have to worry about it. Go to www.mazspeed.com for a great tutorial.
