Info on fender flares and widebodys

Ive been trying to find a widebody kit, but not sure if I want to go through all the fiberglass work for a mariah. I found some pics of what I really want, but I have NO CLUE where to beging looking since I dont know who makes these kits. Any info that would lead me to them would be awesome.

I would prefer the yellow style, but would settle for the purple ones if I could find them somewhere.

No one makes fender flares. I have heard that mid 80's VW cabrio flares work with very minor trimming, but they wont be bulging like the yellows. That will have to be custom, I think. Come to think about it, I remember something going down in the FS section, let me find it and link you...

Check out post 49, I think the person who bought them is going to make molds off it and sell them. Dont know for sure, I plan on keeping my car stock on the outside. PM him and ask whats up :)

Your thinking about "13Beef" - he makes the carbon fibre parts under the name fibermaz.

Selectmaz is a Aussie company that has been into RX-7's for years, offering body kits and other performance components. It's a nice kit, but there is a reason you don't see alot of people with them, I believe they are $$$ and then you have to get it shipped overseas more $$$.

Jeezus 08-16-07 11:07 PM

Ah yes, thanks for the correction...

Like I said, you guys are awesome! I took me a week just to remember where I saw pics of them in the first place.

Here is the car they will be going on..........

I ended up getting some MRT wheels from a guy locally. The offset is set up for a mariah, so I need the flares so the tires dont stick out 3" from the fenders. The wheels are cool, they are 3 piece alluminum and carbon fiber. Ill have to post some pics of them when I get some taken. They are around 9lbs each for a 15x8

Jeezus 08-16-07 11:30 PM

How about you sell me those wheels and I find you some flares?

lol, I love the car, nice pic!

jjbrozak 08-16-07 11:38 PM

Which wheels? The ones in the pic.............http://www.jdwheels.com/roh_snyper.htm

Or the ones I described?

http://www.mrt-wheels.com/catpages/page18.html

The guy I bought my wheels from got them a long time ago, I guess its called mrw wheels now. Then dont do the carbon fiber anymore, but they have a 15x8 alluminum wheel thats just over 7lbs

hey guys, there are a few companys that make these flares in aus but there are a few different sizes, there are street, track and full group C sizes.
try www.ausrotary.com for more info.

These look great and are priced reasonably, but not sure of the amount of work to get them on.

I have seen them on a car and they looked great.
