Your fb is older than you??

I have owned my fb for almost 26 years (bought it new in 78).

if its a 79 then its an sa not fb :)

rwatson5651 01-05-05 09:50 PM

sa,fb,fc,fd,bf,cd,and $#&@!

Let me take this opportunity to expose my ignorance and ask for a full explanation of all these initials!! I have owned an rx-7 for many years but do not really know what all the two letter disignations are, someone fill me in.

sa = 79-81 i think
fb = 8* - 85
FC = 86-91(2) (carryovers)
FD = 93-95, sometimes 93-99, i think

There might be another designation for 95-99, not sure tho.

I think they sell that spoiler for like $600

Actually SA is 79-80
FB is 81-85
FC is 86-91
FD is 93-95(in the states, were still made in Japan for a while longer)

That is Bob Bergstroms IMSA GTU class racecar which was built beginning Novemeber 1978.

The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) http://www.imsaracing.net/ does not sell body parts, car parts, etc. They are like NASCAR, IRL, FIA, etc.

Those acronyms (SA, FB) can be found in the FAQ section.

That exact spoiler is Mazdas own MARK I Competition Part #0000-07-116. If it's still available, it would be to racers only.

just a question is a spoiler really worth $600 if you consider the performance you get out of it... If you were to spend $600 on engine mods you could gain some decent hp by streetporting or a bridge port =) IMO most rx-7 spoilers only look good with a full body kit.

Mazda Comp sells the Mark I Spoiler to racers for $414.55
Mariah Motorsports sells the spoiler for $520
