Ok, so after pulling the 7 off the back burner these last few weekends I think I almost got the weber dialed in (85 gsl-se with weber 45 dcoe) may need a size up on the accelerator pump jets but she starts easy and seems to run pretty good but stumbles slightly when you whack it wide open at low rpm. So, being tired of spending money on jets and waiting for them I reamed out the hole a little with a pin, seemed to work but I came into a corner pretty fast and she fell right on her face and died, didn't start back up. I walked back to the house and got some gas and she fired right up turned around and she died again (on the straight this time) got her to start again and she died pulling into the driveway. Left the key on and went to mess with the pressure regulator, completely unregulated it's getting up to about 2.5 psi and when you give it throttle it falls slowly. So I'm figuring the fuel pump Is taking a sh!t, it looks original and the car does have over 200k on the odo. So autozone has a fuel pump that maxes at 3.5 psi but only flows like 42 gph. Is that enough for a weber on a 13b? Is it worth the extra money to get an efi pump and keep using the regulator? Any help is appreciated.

Way back a lot of the guys used to run Bosch fuel pumps. They snag them off a German car at the salvage yard. There was a guy I knew that ran high 10's to lower 11's (depending on his 60 time) with a stock freaking Mercedes Benz fuel pump. Don't recommend auto zone. WAY over priced. Same fuel pumps WAY cheaper online. You could probably even get a walbro for what they want for an aftermarket sticker. At any rate I vote EFI fuel pump and pressure reg. But that's just me. Also be easier when you get sick of screwing with the weber and go back to EFI.

Bosch huh? I do have a 944 turbo that's not using its fuel pump, idk if its in tank or not tho. And when I go back to efi it's going to be a full motor swap, which I don't have the cash for. As far as over priced and all that, I'll pay a couple bucks to have it today. But il check the Porsche first.
