Identify this intake, please?!
In anticipation of a Sterling carb I've been doing some things to make my car worthy. Freer exhaust, and scheming on intake improvement. I bought this advertised as an Rx3 mani, but it seems either older or previously modded. It's got 1/2" more rise fore, and 5/8" more rise aft than an 84/85 mani. Included is the visible wedge shaped spacer, and a gasket with a break between the primaries. There are no passages between primaries or between primaries and secondaries. Please bear with the picture posting method. Thanks and a donut!

looks like a RX-3 manifold....you might have to modify the intake port if putting on a newer 12a engine

it looks like the Rx-3 manifold i once had on my Rx-7 back in the day.
if Wacky (i think his name is Siraniko or something now) :) or Jeff20B don't chime in, you may want to drop them a PM to confirm. they would be the most likely to pinpoint exactly what you have. |
I can't see the pics. :(

That could be from an RX-2. The primary runners are lower than the later engines. It will still work on a Y or R5 intermediate plate as long as it has tall runners.
News Flash! If you ever wanted to do a half bridgeport, that manifold you've got there, can work. |
