I know its been done to death but sale price etc...

Thinking about selling my FB....its an 85 base model, 12a.....
It runs and drives, thats about the best I can say....

Lots of small issues, driver window doesn work, tires are crap, theres a little slop in the steering...high miles, 232,000.....it smokes alot when you first start it, especially after sitting a couple weeks....paint is crap, mostly black primer...some rust in drivers door, little bit in the quarters, the frame looking part of the unibody is crumpled here and there, with cracks even near the back....drivers rear spring is sagging a bit....Onve shes warmed up, it will burn the tires off the wheels if you want tho.....

Recent rebuild on the carb, some newer parts, etc....I dunno. We paid $500 for it and it barely ran.....my son actually drove it every day for about a year and when he was done with it I couldnt bear to see it go but somehow I never got around to doing much with it.

I guess I could get my $500 back out of it??? Hate craigslist tho....I guess I need to list it for 750 so I can get 500.......

any thoughts? Whats the crappiest FB that will actually drive down the road worth? I mean I have actually seen comparable cars that do NOT run at all sitting in a field full of weeds and someone would be asking 800 for it and stuff......

Are you having an technical issues we can help you with in this forum?

Like KC says, fix it, you'll be happy.

But to answer your question, $500 on craigslist here in NE GA and I'd be looking at it, probably pick it up.

If it was near me, I would take it

where on the "east coast" are you? i'd probably give you $600 for it

Food for thought, I paid $1000 just because the shell of an 84 had no rust. That by itself in the right area can make it worth while for some people. But, I am an oddball, few and far between that would pay more for that without trying to beat the price down.

If there is legitimately no rust, especially in the problem areas, I don't see why you couldn't get at least $750-1000.
