I just Ruined my Wheels

I am really pissed off at myself for this one! I just ruined 2 of my beautiful 15x8 Epsilon meshies. Came around a corner way too fast, hit some sand, spun a 180, and slammed into the curb.

Anyone think they can be fixed? They are 2 piece so I would think the rim could be kind of generic if someone could make me new ones. My local wheel shop does not do chrome rims.

TAke it to a wheel repair shop. Can't you fit 205/50/15's on there? That would give more wheel protection in the future.

Tell people you did it drifting... doesn't matter that it was unintentional drifting, right?

will the 205s rub in front with the 8" width and zero offset? I was told by the guy I bought them from that 195s were as big as I could go...

that can be fixed. i have customers that do that quite often.. i have a wheel guy that can make a square wheel round again.. the eps., enkei and hayashi wheels are soft material that bends easily.

Eps are made from spun aluminum and are a very soft wheel shell. Wider tires will not prevent them from bending. As such, they are very easy to fix with the right equipment. If they were cast/forged like many other wheels, you would be replacing them.

Well I've had them at two different wheel shops and they both said no way. Anyone have a good shop? I guess I would be willing to ship them if I am able to have them repaired

On wheel repair - keep calling around. There are also places that advertise in the back of car mags (Autoweek, etc.) if you're willing to ship. Given the exclusive bolt pattern on the early 7's, it may be worth it - and even shipping would be cheaper than buying a full set of 4 new wheels.

As to the sidebar; I run 205/55/15's on my 7 (SE) with standard offsets and don't have any issues with rubbing, even with unrolled fenders. Get the right tire design and you get a cantilevered shoulder that fully protects the rim edge. I prefer Yoko's for this.

Well after nearly 2 years and a LOT of frustration I have my wheels back! I found a place in Dayton, OH called the wheel warehouse that said they would fix them. While the look great I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM to anyone!!! It took 2 years, fighting in small claims court and a lot of headach to finally get them back.

So without furthur ado for your viewing pleasure....

There's a place in Southfield MI that does this work. If anyone needs the name let me know and I'll post it. Can't recall them for sure, but the ABC News affiliate did a big story on them last year.
