maybe get the ones you origionally had in there!! not those exact ones you know new ones but same kind!!!

Did ya ever think the spark plug change and sudden crap running might be related?

What spark plugs are they anyway? Hopefully they weren't long enough to damage the apex seals because the symptoms you describe could be caused by low compression.

Good point.

did you buy ngk's?

MyRxBad 03-12-03 08:03 AM

Take the new spark plugs out and throw them as far as you can. Rotaries don't take kindly to "just any" plugs. Go get the NGK's that are supposed to be in your vehicle. You'll be much happier.

You can see the thread on "what's the best spark plugs" or, I've taken the #s from the three mentioned there so far so you can see them at your convenience. What other members on the forum are using are:

BR8EQ14s,
BR9EQ14s, and the
B8EGVs

Another side note: If you see anything else on your mazda that looks different than the parts you bought, return the parts you bought! It's a very special car, with a completely different engine than anything any other car has seen before. Don't trust just any mechanic to know this stuff. Ask us, that's what our friendly little community is here for.

BTW, all those numbers are NGK spark plug numbers
