How to upgrade from slider type climate control switch to GSLSE climate control

I was wondering how to upgrade from the slider type climate control switch (that my 85 GS rx7 has) to the GSL/GSLSE button type climate control switch?

Is all the wiring there to convert to it and is it a straight forward swap in?

i think the wiring is probably different, you need the air mix motor also, and possibly the heater box too

Iirc you will need the same sub harness you need for a power window conversion. Its all on the same loom. The connector is under the drivers seat. The wires run up the side of the transmission tunnel and behind the center console to the logicon. It should be pretty simple as long as you have a free afternoon and some patience. I'm not sure about the items the poster above me mentioned but it makes sense.

I'm planning to do this with my current GS --> GS(L) conversion and I've removed all the relevant parts from both vehicles for that purpose.

Like J9 says, aling with the wiring there are some server motors in the electronic unit that will have to be included and maybe some differences in the air box, so you'll probably need a donor GSL or GSL-SE and a lot of patience getting all that stuff hooked up right.

I got most of the stuff you need - SE heater boxes with heater cores, logicons, connections etc..
1 stop shopping right here!
PM'd you.

Awesome! Sounds good. Anybody done the swap before would be nice to do a DIY for the swap with pictures for others that want to do this swap as well.

I'll take lots of pictures and post them up when I do it, probably sometime next summer.
