how much msd boxes i need

do i need two msd boxes or i can run my car with one.

riffraff 04-11-02 08:11 PM

you can run just one with no problem..
two is that much nicer though.

ohhh i love msd q's

ok if you get one get the 6a
if you get two you might want to look into the 6al which has a soft touch rev limiter

i prefer 1 over 2,
2 is kinda a waste of money,
im sure you can think of 100 things that will help your car more for the $130.00-$160.00

also dont forget your gonna need some universal msd wires ,there just went another $50.00

some coils would be nice,
3 blaster 2 coils is my setup ,$90.00 - $100.00

there you go,get the wires and coils and forget about the other box unless you got plenty of money to burn,
then i would say get four boxes all msd 6al with four blaster ss coils.

also jacobs has a nice setup that i believe will work, its competitively priced and looks nice and says it outperforms the msd.
but the coils for the jacobs boxes are a bit pricey

i have the jacobs street. 1 control box and 1 coil. will this work using the factory coil for trailing?

peejay 04-11-02 11:18 PM

6AL will work on leading only, especially with a stock engine/exhaust, just don't push the issue or it can go beyond the limiter.

riffraff 04-11-02 11:33 PM

does anyone know if the jacobs wires will work with an msd setup??
