How much?

Just curious, How much do you guys think I could sell a pair of rotor housings that are in great shape? I mean they are the best looking housings I have ever seen. No chrome flaking whatsoever! I am asking this cause my friend has this 12a but it has a bad rear rotor, so it looks like we might just part it out. Also the side housings are look really good, and I painted them met. blue a week ago. Would anyone here be interested?? I will post some pics later.
Thanks, Jason

Perhaps you did not understand, these housings are in "like new" condition meaning no chrome flaking at all! I would have to be an idiot to let them go for $10 a piece, sorry. I was thinking more along the lines of $150 a piece, seeing as new ones are like 300+. I need input here. Thanks,
Jason

$10 => $150 LOL I don't know what they are but that sure is a big difference lol

Damn, If I can only get 10 bucks I would rather use them as book ends! Excellent rotor housings are hard to come by, this engine was the fourth one that I have ever disassembled and I can honestly say that I have never seen housings this nice. I am used to popping off the back plate and seeing scoured housings and chipped chrome, Not the case here.

I'm pretty sure they are worth alot more than 10 dollars, damn lowballers.

CHEF_EG_1 12-19-02 07:31 PM

if you can come across 2 other "great" ones, then I'll buy all 4. I'd give ya 400 for 4 of them.

85RX7GS 12-19-02 09:19 PM

The fact that you painted them blue....:crzyeye:

Keaponlaffen 12-19-02 09:21 PM

bleck..... blue.... rotor housings???

I'd say they're probably worth $100-$150 a piece... all things considering... Seeing as how new ones from Mazda need to be financed at 0.9% for 36 months for anyone to be able to have a car in the meantime.... so yeah.

I didnt paint the rotor housings, I painted the side housings blue. Paint doesnt like to stick to aluminum, but it loves cast iron (side housings).

Since you reside in the great state of Florida, you are subject to the laws of capitalism. When one brings their goods or services to the markeplace, price will always be determined be supply and demand.

You, my friend, are offering for sale two rotor housings to the general public, specifically forum members. One member suggests $10.00 for each but you mock him or her; while another member suggests $100.00 for each: what type of input are you looking for? You should expect a wide variety of pricing suggestions, because rotor housings are premium goods but only to a select group. Moreover, when you use terms like, "perhaps you didn't understand me" and "damn,... I would rather use them as book ends!" it is very insulting.

Nevertheless, it appears to me as though you already have a price in mind: $150.00 for each, and merely need to find a buyer. I suggest selling them to Chef eg 1 or put them on E-Bay.

I only want them if he can get 4 of equally great quality.

it's a package deal. 400 for 4.

Lets compromise... $150 if you want to buy 1 $200 for both ;) Hell I would flip 2 bills for them but right now I am a broke hoe... ;) finding 2 good rotor houseings in a 12a is like strikeing gold... you could save them and show them to your grand kids and tell them the storey of such a feat ;)

I had one in perfect shape, had problem getting $100 for it, good luck :)
