How loud?

Im wondering if a racing beat road race header to straight pipe and ending with a universal 2.5 muffler also from racing beat would be to loud or throw a presilencer in there also.

My ports would actuate by the exhaust manifold if i went without a presilencer.
If i added a presilencer then the ports would actuate from it and not the manifold.

Any info would be appriciated!

My car is N/A and i want a 2.5 presilencer but can only find 3 inch.
If you know of anywhere that sells these please pass it on.

The RB universal mufflers are really effective, but just using that might be a bit on the loud side. I wish RB sold their universal presilencers in 2.5". Of course, you could always get a 3" presilencer and a couple of 2.5" to 3" expanders/reducers. Alternatively, you might consider a Magnaflow 5" round, or maybe a Borla XR-1 if you've got the cash, though the longevity of either of these as a presilencer might not be great. Another option is to get some perforated steel tube and make your own muffler with all stainless steel wool packing. Check out dj55b's muffler thread for details.

I have a dynatec split flow race muffler right after the header and a small muffler at the end. I would recommend the dynatec though, it makes it sooo much quieter than open header.

it'd be fairly loud.
i have stock manifold to 2 inch straight pipe to racing beat power pulse muffler.. its not too loud but not very comfortable

i have a vid on youtube of my system. i have since removed the dual silencers so it's just header and rb muffler. no sound of it tho.

Pacesetter header>Stock cat> Unknown muffler

Not a fan of how it sounds right now. my last 7 had the road race header, presilencer, and a magnaflow muffler and it was not as loud as this car.

I would go with a presilencer, I dont like my rotarys TOO loud

PS. A tree fell on my car, dont pay attention to it :(

Rxtasy- could you post a link to it?

I think i will probably run a presilencer using the 2.5 to 3 and back down to 2.5. Would there be any disadvantages of doing this?
