How to fix a lock?

The drivers side will not unlock with a key, won't move at all. How best to fix?

MW,
Take the cylinder out of the door and take it to a locksmith. I'm not sure these are repairable without a locksmith's expertise. You can, however, try the lube in the lock to see if you can loosen it up.

Here is the full meal deal: Pull off the door handle, window handle and then the door panel. Now lift off the clip on the rod to the lock. Don't bust it! Pull off (up) the clip behind the lock. The lock will go out. Don't lose the gasket on the door side. Repeat on the passenger side or get a boneyard lock by the same method. If the key moves a lot in the vertical plane, up and down in the keyway, the lock is too worn. Pick a different one. Fill your pockets with the old ones. Take a good one and your key to a locksmith. They will pull off the black cover and dump out the key pins. They then take your key and reset the pins. You re install in reverse back into the door. Cheapest way to go.
