How do I get my radio to fit.

Do they make a kit that I can install a radio.

I have the radio wires and everything hooked up. but its just sitting in the center console.

Does anybody know where I can get a kit for my car?

its a 1984 center console. with a modern radio.

Take off the center console piece that you want to install deck to (the part with the stereo hole). Slide the cage in (metal rectangle shaped piece that goes around new stereo), and bend the little tabs out so that the tabs will hold the cage in place. Bend tabs around all 4 sides. Put the center console piece back in (reinstall onto dash). Last, slide new stereo into cage until it locks in place. Should hear a click. Hope this helps some. Dont forget to plug in the wiring harness and antenna before you slide the stereo back into the dash.

You should also install some sort of brace at the back so that there is more support than just the front panel.

Well, I actually sort of rigged it, but it stays where its supposed too.

There are 2 tabs in the front of the cage, I bent each one outward, I saw the screw holes inside the console. so, I took 2 woodscrews (flatheads), and put the screw through the tabs, and it stays tight into place.

Then since the tabs bent like that, the tab (other end) bent inward, to where when I slide the radio in, it holds into place. I tell you, It works great right now, untill I can get it professionaly installed.

no more having to hold the radio up.
