How did they make this?
I found this picture of a 7 on the Internet somewhere. How was it done? I think the front is a 3rd generation, I know the rims are third generation for sure. What about the wing on the back, what is that off of? Then the side skirts and the lower valance on the rear bumper....anyone know what these are from? How did the person use a third generation front end on our cars?

Used to be on Sale about 9 months ago here in S. Florida. |
They just make the side skirts though right? I just checked out their website and the only thing that resembles the picture is just the side skirts. Maybe I have the wrong address. Anyone have another address?
|
how can you tell the front is 3rd gen? it is definitely sleek. tII conversion for the dual tailpipes?
|
Well it looks like a third generation front, doesn't it? It might not be, but it looks to me like it is. Too bad there wasn't a pic of this car from the front, then I could tell for sure.
|
it looks like a perfomance front but i can't tell if its 3rd gen. i would say no.
|
I remember about two years ago there was this guy on ebay that was sellling the front air-dam for first gen that he and bunch of his friends made from third gen, looked pretty sweet.
|
The front end is regualr 1st gen except the addition of an air-dam. The skirts are Kaminari and the wing I believe is Mazdatrix. I've seen that rear for sale on the net before.
|
that thing is beutifull.
I wish mine was that sweet!! |
I was mistaken, the wing can be found here:
www.selectmaz.com.au under the Tornado SS kit. |
How does he have 5 lugs on the car though?
|
DirectFreak already told you:
Custom Drilled Rotors for the 5 lug conversion. |
I remember that car. It was from a guy in Miami Florida. I have seen that car in person...looks nice.

rice anybody??? Im not favoring the 3m double side adhesive body kit job. Im looking into a full out hardcore mariah motorsports full gtoI wide body package. (yes it is unibody). Anybody know how hard this is conversion is???
|
For the wheels. it's just a conversion kit, like DF said.
i like that cars profile,,the duel exhuast gets me,, i've looked under the back and the gas tank doesn't leave much room for exhuast piping,,on the drivers side however,it was done, and by whoever,,did a cool job. if i could i'd like duel exhuast..maybe the body kit opened up enough space to be able to do that...maybe some heat shielding to i would think...no 3rd gen, FB all the way..are those real 3rd gen wheels,,or just look real close to them..nice car though. the guy whos wants to buy a GTO body kit,,you might do some research ,, for the street may not be a good thing,,and shit man,,, a mariah full blown GTO body kit is fucking big bucks.. for the price of the body kit,one could buy any gen rx7 just about. |
Hey "the 7thguru", I've got a Mariah Mode I wide body kit on my '82 RX7-GX (canadian version). I've also incorporated side skirts into the design which turned out to be very very nice and 'one of a kind'. Even Marah Motorsports (Jim) doesn't add side skirts. The complete installation and pearl paint took 7 weeks. So be patient if you decide to go witht he Mariah package.
The guys at Mariahmotorsports are great and very helpful. Oh I forgot to mention, I also incorporated the 'warp-around-skirting' into the body package also. Very cool result, if I don't say so myself. What do you guys/gals think? |
Originally posted by Winnipeg85GSL I was mistaken, the wing can be found here: www.selectmaz.com.au under the Tornado SS kit. Maybe. I wonder if it has the Braje light LED's in it. I need more research. If I could get it, I would sell my brand new, (100% original, never painted) Mazda OEM Polyurethane 3 piece wrap around tail for it. http://www.selectmaz.com.au/images/bodykits/eurobbl.jpg |
Anderson, I heard that you were getting rid of your car for extra cash for your wedding or something.?
|
Interesting: the plastic trim between the tail lights has been removed and a license plate mount added in it's place in the pic DF posted - a Series 3 trying to look like a Series 1? Where do you put the license plate light? (legally required in every province and virtually every state)
|
I was at work in did not read under the pic.

Thanks for responding guys. Now I know how to make mine look like that :) Just one thing though, the front, someone said it was just an air dam....know which one that is? Just so I have it right, the side skirts and the rear bumper part are both from Kaminari, or is it just the side skirts from there?
|
I heard somewhere that this car has a Mustang 5.0 FI engine in it...Maybe Im wrong, but I swear it was that car I read about.
~T.J. |
I was expecting that it had something like a 5.0L or a 350 in it. I don't think he has a dual exhaust on it just for looks alone.
